Il Faé Local Activities: Golf

The Cansiglio Forest, lies about 1,000m above sea level and is ideally located near the towns of Treviso, Pordenone and Belluno. Its wood has been harvested since 1400, when the Republic of Venice used it to build it's powerful Mediterranean fleet.

The Cansiglio Golf Club was founded in 1956 by a small number of enthusiasts from Vittorio Veneto. With a pioneering mind and great far-sightedness, they entrusted the project to the famous course architect Trent Jones Sen. who completed a beautiful 9-hole golf course.

In 1995, and thanks to architect Marco Croze, the golf course was enlarged to a par 71 18-hole course. It skilfully exploits the terrain to make it varied and pleasantly difficult: a mountain course which is, according to many people, one of the most beautiful in Europe.
